Malcolm Bruce

Technical Manager

Malcolm started his career as a draftsman in the army, serving in many interesting locations. Closer to home, he has built up a great track record of successful projects across the UK and further afield over a long and distinguished career – he has worked for years with members of the Trail team.  He is our technical expert and provides essential support to our practice in a variety of areas, including detail design and specification, and in addressing the progress of our projects through construction.


Siobhán Dyson


Siobhán graduated from the University of Dundee with a Masters in Architecture with Distinction. Following her graduation, Siobhán worked in a small practice, gaining excellent experience working on Scottish rural architecture.

She is currently running a number of exciting projects across the UK.

Originally from Leicester, Siobhán lives locally in rural Perthshire and is currently involved in a variety of residential and commercial projects, where she brings enthusiasm and diligence to her work.


Martin P English

Architect / Director

Martin founded Trail Architects with a trusted team in 2017 after a career which included eight years as Managing Director of a major architectural firm with multiple offices across the UK and abroad. Martin has genuine hands-on cross sector experience across a 28 year career since qualification, successfully delivering excellent projects in every sector. Martin is an intuitive problem solver who brings energy and a wealth of experience to the challenge of unlocking the full potential of complex projects in collaboration with his clients and the talented team at Trail.


Rozalina Hristova

Architectural Assistant

Rozalina obtained her Bachelors in Architecture at Dundee University, and is now instrumental in developing a range of projects at a variety of stages, from early feasibility to technical design. Rozalina has completed part 1 of her architectural studies, and is working towards her part 2 experience. Originally from Bulgaria, Rozalina studied at the High School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, She currently lives in Dundee and has an extensive technical background that has proved invaluable to the office. Rozalina is also a member of Dundee University's women’s basketball team, and once played professionally for Bulgaria.



Stephen Japp

Architectural Assistant

Stephen studied Architectural Technology for a year at Glasgow City Collage, before continuing his studies at Dundee University, graduating with a Masters in Architecture. He then went on to work in Dundee on a variety of specialised commercial projects across the UK, gaining unique experience across multiple sectors. Stephen has a strong work ethic and thoughtful approach to his work, and is involved in a range of exciting projects at Trail.



Lauren McIntyre

Architectural Project Administrator 

Lauren graduated in Architecture from the University of Dundee, she is also our office manager and looks after the administrative and financial side of the business. Being multi-faceted makes her an asset to the team and she has become involved in multiple projects within the office including holiday accommodation and social housing across the Highlands, as well as high quality residential projects in London.



Janice Reid

Consulting Architect 

Janice has enjoyed working with our Director Martin English for over 15 years. She has experience across a variety of sectors and has a diverse portfolio of high quality projects across the UK including commercial and leisure, new build and restoration. Janice has recently been delivering several mixed tenure residential developments across the Highlands and is currently developing designs for exciting projects. With meticulous attention to detail, Janice leads project and quality management within the practice, monitoring our output and achieving the best results for our clients.


Jack Wright

Architectural Assistant

Jack has obtained his Bachelors in Architecture at Dundee University, completing his part 1 architectural studies and now working towards his part 2 experience. Jack has a specific interest in architectural theory and enjoys applying this to his work within the office. Jack is currently involved in a number of challenging residential projects at a range of work stages and scales.
